Install TGFast as a Web App (PWA) on Any Device

TGFast itself is a Progressive Web App. Add it to your home screen for one-tap proxy access.

What is a PWA?

A Progressive Web App is a website that installs like a native app. After installation, it has its own icon on your home screen, opens without the browser address bar, and can work offline. TGFast.top is built as a PWA — you can install it on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Chromebook.

Install on iPhone (iOS)

Open Safari, navigate to tgfast.top. Tap the Share icon (square with arrow up) at the bottom. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. Confirm the name and tap Add. The TGFast icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to open without the Safari interface.

Install on Android (Chrome)

Open Chrome, navigate to tgfast.top. Tap the menu (three dots, top-right). Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen on older Android). Confirm. The TGFast icon appears on your home screen.

Install on Windows / Mac (Chrome / Edge)

Open Chrome or Edge, navigate to tgfast.top. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a small computer with a down arrow). Click it. Click Install. TGFast becomes a desktop app with its own icon in your Start Menu, taskbar or Dock.

Why install it?

Three reasons: (1) one-tap access — the home screen icon is faster than typing the URL; (2) offline browsing — installed PWAs cache the proxy credentials so you can read them even when Telegram is completely down; (3) it just feels native and tidy.

Privacy of installed PWAs

Installing a PWA does not give it any extra permissions. TGFast does not request notifications, geolocation, camera or microphone — there is nothing to ask for. The installed version behaves identically to the website.

Updating

PWAs auto-update when you reconnect. You always see the latest proxy credentials without doing anything. No app store update process.

How long does this setup take from start to finish?

Under 60 seconds for most users. Tap any "Connect Now" button on a TGFast proxy card while reading on your phone, and Telegram will open with a single confirmation prompt — no copying, no typing, no signup. Manual configuration via Settings → Data and Storage takes around two minutes.

Does adding a proxy break end-to-end encryption in my Secret Chats?

No. End-to-end encryption for Secret Chats is performed by your Telegram client and the recipient's client — the proxy server only forwards already-encrypted bytes. The proxy cannot read messages, see attachments, or alter content; it sees only that an MTProto session is in flight.

Will the proxy slow down media downloads or voice calls?

In most regions added latency is 30–80 ms, which is invisible for chat and barely noticeable for voice calls. In censored regions Telegram often feels faster through TGFast because direct connections suffer from forced packet loss; the proxy sidesteps that throttling entirely.

Do I need to reinstall the proxy after a Telegram app update?

No. Proxy configuration is stored in your Telegram account profile, not in the binary, so it survives app updates, OS upgrades, and even reinstalls when you sign in with the same number. The only time you need to re-add it is if you wipe app data or sign out fully.

Can I add more than one TGFast proxy at the same time for failover?

Yes — Telegram supports multiple saved proxies. Add a handful of TGFast servers (our proxy fleet) under Settings → Data and Storage → Proxy and toggle "use a TGFast proxy" on. Telegram will automatically fall back to the next reachable entry if the active one stops responding, giving you near-100% uptime.

Why do I still see "Connecting…" after I added the proxy?

Three usual causes: (1) the wrong port was typed during manual entry — recheck against the value on this page; (2) your firewall/router blocks high-numbered ports — try a different TGFast server; (3) the secret was pasted with an invisible space — copy directly from the card and paste fresh. The one-tap "Connect Now" button avoids all three issues.
